MARRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a really good christmas. On Christmas Eve we invited the missionaries over for a nice dinner. We watched Mr Kroger's Christmas and had hot chocolate and cookies. It was a nice Christmas. We tried to keep our thoughts more focused on service and the Savior this year.

Mya talked about Christmas all day yesterday and what she wanted Santa to bring to her. I don't think that she was disappointed. Grandma Womack sent a big package full of toys for the kids. The package was bigger then our Christmas tree. Also, the Peterson's sent a package full of things for the kids as well. Gerald and I were more practical with the things that we got Mya and Keegan. Overall it was a good and enjoyable Christmas morning. We are going to spend the rest of the day being lazy.

We hope that you all enjoyed your Christmas as well.

DUCKS

I took the kids to that park today to let them feed the ducks. Keegan was fearless. He was holding the bread in his hand and waiting for the ducks to come and get it from his hand and then he would laugh. Mya was more interested in the ducks that were in the pond and I thought that she was going to fall in a couple of times. We went with some friends and had a good time.

snowball fight

So I saw this on Alisha's blog and the kids got a good laugh about it so I thought that you would too. The only way we are going to be able to have a snowball fight here in Houston is virtually. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

HUGE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

Today we went to the park to play on the slides. The equipment was huge. I didn't think that Mya was going to climb to the top because she is cautious most of the time. She was brave today because we went with another little boy and he is a climber. She ended up having a fun time going down the large slides. I like this park a lot better because they don't have any swings. If there are swings at the park I end up pushing Mya the whole time. I have tried to teach her to use her legs but she just gets frustrated with it. We had a fun day. It was kind of a cooler day, but still reasonable to be outside in.

BATH TIME

I am sure that every mother of two or more has experienced this. I was running late for an appointment. I had just got Keegan out of the tub all dried and dressed. I went into our bathroom and finished getting ready when I heard a big slash in the bathroom that Mya was in. Keegan decided that he was not done with his bath and got back in with Mya. I was so frustrated, but thought that I would take a picture of the experience because I am told that this is something I will laugh about later.

Ward Christmas Party

We had the normal LDS christmas party this weekend. We had lots of food, sang christmas carols and then "Santa Clause" visited. Mya was excited and went up and told Santa what she wanted for Christmas, a step up from last year when she screamed everytime that she saw him. Keegan wouldn't go near him. I couldn't even get him to sit on his lap screaming to get a picture so we settled for a picture in front of the christmas tree. We had a good time.

Fall Chores

We don't have a back yard to do all the fun fall chores that other people have to do so my kids think that it is fun to rake the leaves at our friends backyard. It entertained them for quite awhile today when I was babysitting. I hope they are that enthusiastic when we get our own backyard.

Gerald's Influence

Gerald is really hoping that Keegan is going to be a basketball player. Maybe he will get one after all.

Flat Tire

I was coming home from a friends house yesterday when I got a flat tire. The car in front of me flipped a big stick and I couldn't avoid it because there was a car next to me. I hit it and hoped that it wouldn't flatten my tire. It instantly went flat. I am used to having a dad and brothers around that I haven't learned how to change a tire. I probably could have changed it but thought that the tire would stay on better if I got someone else to do it that knew what they were doing. Gerald was at work and didn't have his cell phone on him. I was able to call another friend that came and changed it for me. Thank goodness for good friends.
