GOOD TO BE HOME!!!

It was lots of fun to visit family. I think we were able to see everyone. That is quite the challenge because Gerald has a lot of family to see. We were able to get on the flight that we needed to go out to Milwaukee, but had complications on the trip back. Gerald and I had things that needed to get done so we ended up extending the contract on our rental car and taking the sceanic road home. We drove straight through the night and it took us about 19 hours to drive it. We only had one minor set back when Keegan got sick in the car. I think it was because everyone was feeding him junk food.

Old McDonald Had a Farm in Milwaukee

We stayed out at a friends house and walked down to a neighbors house that had a farm. I am sure that you know how much my kids love animals with all the posts I have made from our outings to the zoo. They were thrilled to see and touch them.

Baby Sheep

Donkey's

City slickers learning about eggs.

There were also turkeys, cows, goats, chickens, and I can't remember what else. It was fun though!!!!!

Grandpa Ballard

This was the first time for me and the kids to meet Gerald's dad. It was the first time for Gerald to meet his step mom because they were married about three weeks ago. I learned that Gerald is just like his father in many ways. I couldn't figure out where some of his habits came from. Now I know, he is his father's son. We enjoyed the vacation.
Uncle KeyKey was great with the kids. He gave them lots of attention and spent quite a bit of time with them considering the amount of time that we spent in Milwaukee and his work schedule.

When we went to visit Gerald's uncle Albert there was a frog that would croak when you walked by it and it caught the kids attention. They were laughing and trying to figure out what was causing the frog to make noises.

Milwaukee

We finally made it to Milwaukee!!!! We are having so much fun visiting all the family and we are enjoying our stay. Keegan was so exhausted from the plane ride that he started to bob his head in the car on the way from Chicago to Milwaukee. The kids are having lots of fun playing at grandma's house and meeting lots of new people. We sure do miss all the hot weather in Texas (hence the reason the kids are in sweaters).Let's hope that we can make it back to Texas =)

Home Projects Begin

One of the things that I was looking forward to when we bought our house was to decorate. I love being able to use my creativity and I am happy with the way that my first project turned out. I had to start with something simple... I will take on harder projects as time goes on. ;)

Today we went to Lowes and bought some bar stools. To go with the decor of the rest of the house I decided to paint them. Here are some before, during, and after pictures of my first project.

Back Online

When we moved into the house it took the cable guys awhile to come out and get things set up. I have been going crazy and didn't realize how much I actually used the internet until I didn't have it anymore. I will try and post more often now that we have it up and going again.

Our Baby is 2

Keegan had a Birthday last Thursday, June 5th. I can't believe that he turned two. I am going to quote all the old people including my own mother when I say, "Time really does fly." Something current about Keegan.... He loves the movie cars. He asks if he can watch it everyday. Mya has told him everyday that she doesn't like that movie and she doesn't want to watch it AGAIN. When we go to friend's houses he finds all their car memorabilia and plays quietly in the corner while we are there.

For his Birthday we got him a little tricycle so that he can play in the driveway. There was "some assembly required." Gerald was patient enough to put it together for him. What a great dad.
"CHEESE"... Keegan is sure to say it everytime that he sees a camera. I think that it is super cute.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More House Pictures

Everyone back in Idaho keeps asking me to post some more pictures of the house. Here are your requested pictures. I wish that we all lived closer together so that you all could come and visit. It is a lot better in person. It is completely empty and the walls need painted, so don't be critical. =)

Just your typical Kitchen

16 ft ceilings in the entryway. This was one of my favorite things about the house when we bought it.

Our empty gameroom upstairs where the kids can watch their movies. Check out that designer furniture.
