Tribute to Gayla

One of my really good friends has decided to follow her heart and move back to Angelfire New Mexico. I don't know why, afterall it is less populated then Houston, cooler in temperature, and they get to do all the outdoor activities that they love because it is nestled in beautiful landscapes. I am definatly jelous!!! Some of our close friends got together on Monday at Olive Garden and had a farewell dinner.

Gayla "cautiously" questioning the card that we got her....

Having a good laugh over the singing card

I will miss you Gayla!!!!!!!

Yesterday we got adopted by the Arnold's to participate in their family easter festivities. There was lots of food and they had a big playground in their backyard for the kids to play on. There was a big easter egg hunt and afterward the kids were each given a toy from Grandma.

In church I taught a primary class and we watched a movie about why we celebrate Easter. The kids had lots of questions about when Jesus was going to come back again and where he is living now. I love the little children. They teach me new things everyday. It was enjoyable to have testimony meeting on Easter. It is nice to be able to reflect upon the blessings I have been granted and all that the Savior has done for me and our family. I hope that all of your easter's were as good as mine.

Mya's Easter Dress

I made an Easter dress for Mya a couple of years ago. Mya found some really cute material the other day at Walmart and Ii I really like how spring like and bright the material was so I decided that I would make her dress this year. I went really simple by just making a skirt and then I bought her a new white t-shirt to ware with it. This is a picture of the skirt and I will take pictures on Sunday with Keegan and Mya both dressed up in the Easter clothes.

Day at the Library

Today was the Easter party at the library. Even my long lost nocternal friend Kareena brought her daughter to the festivities. I was greatful that there wasn't anything in the plastic eggs because Mya's basket was so full they were falling out. Keegan started to just collect the green eggs after awhile and by the end he only had 5 eggs in his basket. The kids had a lot of fun. After the kids collected all the eggs they turned them in for a bag of goodies and then we sat and ate our snacks. I have really enjoyed how involved our library is and the activities that they plan for the kids. Mya and Keegan were asking on Friday when Tuesday was so that they could go to the library. They are always so excited to get new books and they look forward to it every week.
