Happy Mother's Day

This morning Mya woke up and was very excited about a basket that Gerald had left on the counter. I tried to explain that it was Mother's Day and why we celebrate Mother's Day. This really got her to thinking and she asked when Father's Day was. I told her that Father's Day was next month. She was silent for a little while and took a couple more bite of her Marshmellow Maties and then asked.... "well, when is kids day then?" I thought to myself, isn't it kids day everyday?

It has been a great day today.... I have truly felt loved.

This is a creation of Mya's that they did in Primary during sharing time. She tags everything with her name and her newest thing that she learned how to draw is flowers.

In nursary they let the kids make hand paintings. Keegan's hands were still blue when we came home, but they didn't get any paint on his church clothes!

Thomas S. Monson says....
There is gratitude for our mothers.
Mother, who willingly made that personal journey into the valley of the shadow of death to give us birth, deserves our undying gratitude. One writer summed up our love for mother when he declared, “God could not be everywhere, and so He gave us mothers.”
While on the cruel cross of Calvary, suffering intense pain and anguish, Jesus “saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother!” What a divine example of gratitude and love!

Ha ha! Taylor's nursery leaders got me a petunia. I'm glad they didn't let her anywhere near paint. :) Mya sure is growing up. It's bittersweet when they start getting smart, eh? Miss you guys!
