HOLA TROPICAL STORM EDOUARD

Tropical Storm Edouard came in off of the Gulf of Mexico today. Thanks to the news there was a rush on stores for water and batteries. Why is it that most people wait until the last minute to be prepared? Most of Houston was closed because they thought that it was going to become a category 1 hurricane and everyone was asked to stay off the roads. Even though it turned out to be a milder tropical storm Gerald was able to stay home from the bank today. It has been raining all day, but I haven't noticed the wind. The good part is that it has cooled off our 100 degree weather down to the mid 70's. So... we have yet to experience a hurricane since moving to Houston a year ago. Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing!!!

That's crazy! We experienced a few tropical storms in Hawaii and they're still pretty powerful. My family (when I was 7) moved away from Houston in 1983 literally just before the big hurricane hit there that year (my parents figured our home was wiped out because of location). Hang in there and enjoy the cooler weather :)
